Overview

EXPLORER 510 is focused on wireless connectivity. It harnesses the power of the new EXPLORER Connect App, which turns your Android and IOS smartphones and tablets into powerful satellite communications tools.

When it comes to setting up you can be online in minutes using your own wireless devices. The USB host allows wired connections to the terminal and the optional EXPLORER LTE dongle (available in Q1 2015), so you can use local cellular if available and switch to BGAN when needed.

It supports your need for performance and provides simultaneous high quality voice and broadband access at speeds up to 464 kbps. Connect the optional EXPLORER Cellular Modem to the USB port and turn your device into a true communication SmartHub. Use local cellular net when available and BGAN if no other option.

made simple EXPLORER 510 is easy to set-up and to operate. The user interface is intuitive and can be accessed from your PC or any kind of smart device. With the EXPLORER Connect App you can use your smart device to make calls or easily access the internet even in areas with no terrestrial or cellular coverage. The EXPLORER Connect App with a SIP softphone is available on Android and IOS.

EXPLORER Connect App

EXPLORER Connect is for management of the Cobham SATCOM EXPLORER 510 and EXPLORER 710 satellite terminals.

EXPLORER Connect offers monitoring and configuration of the EXPLORER terminal and includes a built-in satellite phone for making or receiving satellite calls using the EXPLORER terminal.

Satellite Phone - Use your phone as a satellite phone to make and receive calls via the EXPLORER terminal
Terminal Access - Open the terminal's web interface for management and configuration
Pointing - Activate the pointing process towards the BGAN satellite and see signal strength
